*Update Dec. 2019- I have found that if shooting the V1 flashes in repeated bursts will cause the unit to enter "thermal protection mode" meaning the flash slow down considerably. It will wait 5 seconds or so between bursts. Godox did release a firmware update and it did help a bit...but it is still something to think about if you fire rapidly. While shooting receptions, I have found the V1's lack the consistency of my trusty old Canon 600EX-RTII's. They work great until you overwork 'em, then they slow down. (note..turning off the flash and removing the battery for a second gets it back to normal) Working on some tests to find out more, stay tuned. I'll throw up the link under this update. So, how do you get your flash to focus at night? - For this video I am using the Godox V1 flash! - You're going to want to point your flash directly forward - When it's pitch black, there's no light, so there's nothing for your camera to catch focus on - While you're shooting, what you'll want to do is turn on your light and point it at your subjects (so it's kind of like a spotlight) - The flash will go off when it catches focus!

Trong đó, đèn speedlite Godox V860 là một đèn với chất lượng không thể tin được so với mức giá của nó. So với những đèn của hãng như Canon, Nikon,... thì V860 có giá rẻ hơn gấp 5 lần mà chất lượng gần như tương đương. Đó cũng chính là lý do mà Danny đã thay thế toàn bộ đèn chính hãng để sử dụng hệ thống đèn speedlite của Godox. Bên cạnh đó thì Godox V1 là một sản phẩm mới ra và được nhiều người cho rằng đã "mượn ý tưởng" từ một thương hiệu đèn khá là tên tuổi là Profoto. Cụ thể là Godox V1 có ngoại hình cũng như tính năng ăn theo đèn Profoto A1 nhưng lại có giá...rẻ hơn gấp 4 lần. Chính vì vậy đã kích thích được sự ham muốn của các tín đồ chơi đèn flash muốn sở hữu cho mình một sản phẩm công nghệ ngon bổ rẻ. Quay lại câu hỏi là: có nên đổi từ V860 sang V1? Sau đây sẽ là những phân tích của Danny để giúp bạn lựa chọn. Khi làm thử nghiệm cho 2 đèn đánh thẳng trực tiếp vào tường, ánh sáng từ đèn V1 sẽ có hình tròn còn V860 sẽ có hình dẹp. Thoạt nhìn thì không thể phủ nhận là ánh sáng từ V1 trông sẽ đẹp hơn. Nhưng Danny muốn chia sẻ để bạn hiểu thêm công dụng cũng như thiết kế của mỗi đèn. + Đèn V860: cho ánh sáng dẹp vì ban đầu nhà sản xuất thiết kế như vậy để phù hợp với mục đích gắn đèn lên máy ảnh (on camera flash). Do cảm biến máy ảnh cũng là hình chữ nhật nên ánh sáng từ đèn V860 sẽ phù hợp và phát huy hiệu quả tối đa. + Đèn V1: Cho ra ánh sáng tròn vì ăn theo thiết kế của Profoto, một hãng chuyên sản xuất những đèn để phục vụ cho việc điều khiển ánh sáng (off camera flash). Khi bạn tách rời đèn V1 ra khỏi camera thì lúc đó đèn V1 sẽ phát huy hiệu quả nhất. Tóm lại, lời khuyên của Danny là: - Godox V860 sẽ phù hợp với bạn nào thường chụp sự kiện, hay gắn đèn lên trên thân máy ảnh (on camera flash), còn V1 sẽ phát huy hiệu quả khi tách rời với máy ảnh (off camera flash) - Nếu bạn dư dả tài chính thì thôi cứ up lên V1 hoặc xài song song 2 loại cũng không sao hết, vừa xài vừa trải nghiệm để tự so sánh đánh giá. - Còn nếu không rủng rỉnh thì bạn cứ tiếp tục xài V860, bạn chỉ cần mua thêm 1 adapter chuyển là AKR1 cũng sẽ có hiệu quả ánh sáng tương tự V1 mà lại tiết kiệm hơn nhiều. Today we are talking about the Godox V1 Round Head Flash/Speedlight. Before I say anything else… I think this is one of the most compelling on camera flash/speedlights on the market right now. The Godox V1 (AKA Flashpoint Zoom Li-On X R2 from Adorama). This is an interesting thing, I recently looked at the Godox AK-R1 round head accessory kit and the Godox H200R (the round head flash attachment for the Godox AD200) and I am enjoying the whole round head thing. I recently did an overview/unboxing of the Godox V1 (🤍 where I went over some technical specs, what comes in the box, and physical features of the flash. I have used the Godox V1 for a few weeks and have some final opinions on the flash. In fact, I have some examples at the end of the video on who the Godox V1 flash is best for, and who it’s not a good fit for. Over all, with a round head speedlight the light has a much softer and appealing look. Speedlights with the fresnel style quality can be a big harsh unless otherwise diffused or bounced. What I have been noticing is that I take much less effort to make the light work for me in practice. Your results may vary based on the photography you are doing, but when looking into any of these flashes I look to what I use it for and what I imagine the general user might use it for. I like the compatibility with the Godox AK-R1 round head flash kit. I like the quality of light and how easy it is to achieve excellent results. I like the way it can interface with my cameras TTL information. I like the compatibility with the Godox ecosystem of flashes and triggers like the Godox XPro. I don’t like the lack of continuity between battery types with Godox - but that's not as much of a comment on the speedlight as it is Godox as a whole. And you have a bit of a tradeoff with the round head and the power output and distance that the flash is effective in. Probably most annoyingly, with one attempt that Godox had made trying to make the physical button layout easier, they built in an ergonomics problem - which I go over in the video. Compared to flashes in its weight class, it is an answer to the Profoto A1, which this does not directly compare to... but it is rather a more affordable interpretation thereof at around 1/5 the price. But there are no round head flashes/speedlights in this $260 price range - so not much to talk about there. As far as regular speedlights, we can look at the Canon Speedlight 600EX II-RT ($470) as a name brand example and the Godox V860ii ($160) as a comparable Godox model. Sidse note - I think spending the money on the name brand doesn't make sense when looking at the functionality. Long story short, I think this flash is an excellent in this price range. It makes sense among the Godox line of flashes, and when compared to other name brands, it is very strong competitor based on function when considering price.
