So, how do you get your flash to focus at night? - For this video I am using the Godox V1 flash! - You're going to want to point your flash directly forward - When it's pitch black, there's no light, so there's nothing for your camera to catch focus on - While you're shooting, what you'll want to do is turn on your light and point it at your subjects (so it's kind of like a spotlight) - The flash will go off when it catches focus!

My Godox V1S stopped working with my Sony A7IV and I couldn't figure out why. I even when back to the camera store, and magic, they got it to work and I looked like an idiot. I got back home and it still didn't work with my camera. If your flash isn't firing, try turning off silent mode. I have mine on the function menu, but on the A74 it's under the camera screen #7. On the A73 it's under camera 2 screen 4 of 9. Other things to check are live view mode and image preview. Hope this helps someone because I was so frustrated!!! #shorts
